Safe Kids Wayne County is led by Wayne County Sheriff’s Office & Wayne County EMA, which provides dedicated and caring staff, operation support and other resources to assist in achieving our common goal: keeping your kids safe. Based on the needs of the community, this coalition implements evidence-based programs, such as car-seat checkups and safety workshops that help parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries. Living Independence for Everyone (LIFE), Inc. is a Center for Independent Living (CIL). The primary goal of LIFE is to give the right tools to individuals with disabilities so they can become as independent and as fully involved in their community as they want to be.

12 bed emergency shelter open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to serve victims of domestic violence and their children. A 24 hour hotline.
Fair Haven is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with trained staff. Crisis Line can be called at any hour on any day. Outreach Services (those services for individuals/ families not living in the shelter but needing domestic violence services) takes place Monday- Friday 8 AM to 5 PM in Wayne, Appling, and Jeff Davis counties.
Program is for women who are victims of domestic violence and their children 17 years of age or younger. Male victims are housed off-site and receive the same service and individualized case management.
