Wayne County Family Connection is a local non-profit organization dedicated to serving the children and families of Wayne County. For over twenty years, we’ve helped connect those in need with the appropriate services and resources available in our community.
It’s important to understand what we do—and don’t do:
* We are not a crisis center or medical facility.
* We are not a homeless shelter.
* We do not provide direct financial assistance for rent, utilities, or other expenses.
* We do not work for Law Enforcement, the School System, DFCS, Safe Harbor, or similar agencies.
However, we do work closely with these and many other organizations to help Wayne County residents access support and services. While we have strong partnerships, we are unable to view personal case records or provide information about individual cases. For questions specific to other agencies, we encourage you to contact them directly. You can find their contact information in our online Resource Directory.
Our mission is simple but vital:
To collaborate with local partners to build a safer, healthier Wayne County. Through these partnerships, we are able to actively work to identify community needs and support families in improving their overall well-being.
Why Wayne County only?
As a community-based initiative, all funding and resources we receive are specifically designated to serve Wayne County residents. This ensures that local donations, grants, and support efforts stay within our community—benefiting the families, children, and individuals who call Wayne County home. For individuals who are not native to Wayne County, or currently living in Wayne County, we encourage contacting the Family Connection that serves the county of residence.
