Through federal funding, older Georgians 60 years of age and older can receive access to lawyers and paralegals who provide representation in non-criminal legal cases, information on many issues of interest to seniors, and community education to prevent harm that may potentially be caused by not having access to legal assistance.
Fair Haven’s Outreach & Education Program target’s domestic violence victims in Wayne, Appling and Jeff-Davis Counties who do not need emergency shelter, but are living with or in domestic violence. The Outreach Program collaborates with other community agencies to obtain the most effective resources to assist the family live a life free from the fear of violence. This program is designed for families to gain knowledge and resources to become a strong and stable family, to assist children’s emotional and educational needs while being led by confident and capable parent(s). Monthly support groups are offered as well.

Tri-County CASA, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit agency that recruits, screens, trains and supervises community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are under the jurisdiction of the Appling, Jeff Davis and Wayne County Juvenile Courts.

Victims of many types of crimes have rights and responsibilities under a Georgia law (O.C.G.A. 17-17-1) called the Victim’s Bill of Rights. The purpose of the Victim-Witness Assistance Program is to educate and assist victims of such crimes.
12 bed emergency shelter open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to serve victims of domestic violence and their children. A 24 hour hotline.
Fair Haven is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with trained staff. Crisis Line can be called at any hour on any day. Outreach Services (those services for individuals/ families not living in the shelter but needing domestic violence services) takes place Monday- Friday 8 AM to 5 PM in Wayne, Appling, and Jeff Davis counties.
Program is for women who are victims of domestic violence and their children 17 years of age or younger. Male victims are housed off-site and receive the same service and individualized case management.
